YNG owns a 34.42 % joint venture interest in the Wolf property with Atna Resources owning the remaining 65.58 % interest. The property consists of 36 mineral claims. Atna earned its interest by spending $ 1.5 million on exploration between 1995 and 1999. The property is located in the Pelly Mountains near the YTT boundary.
A geological resource of 4.1 million tonnes grading 6.2 % zinc, 1.8 % lead and 84 g/t silver has been outline in the Wolf zone on the property. Two additional satellite zones have also been discovered and are in early stage drilling. The East Slope zone was discovered in 1998 with the best intersection to date of 4.6 metres (true) grading 5.7 % zinc, 2.1 % lead and 42.6 g/t silver. A barite hosted semi-massive sulphide zone was discovered in 1996 contains erratic values of lead and silver up to 3.2 % lead and 111 g/t silver. The deposits are all open at depth and on strike. The deposits are hosted by Devono-Mississippian felsic volcanic rocks believed to have erupted in an intracratonic rift setting.
